My Story

According to sources, adults between 30-49 took to social media during the COVID-19 pandemic. This age group had the most rapid increase in social media use than any other age group (Chaffey, 2022), whether social media was used for    free-time or being used for networking,  I was no different. I used social media as an outlet to promote my photography. I began using photography to escape the harsh reality that the COVID-19 pandemic presented.  The pandemic brought some anxiety, depression, yet brought an exciting opportunity to network and communicate in a new and exciting way. According to Oxtoby, social media connects users by common interest and geographical location (2022).

Meet, Life Is A Puzzle Photography. Its beginnings were due to the social anxiety and isolation that I began to feel the longer the pandemic went on. I have used personal and business social media account to promote my photography. I made connections within my hometown and began to have Engagement, Maternity, Senior, and Family Photoshoots.  It was a positive aspect of the instantaneous and anytime anywhere connection to the   internet. This has given me the opportunity to do something that I enjoy and use as a long-term hobby.

“Don’t think of introversion as something that needs to be cured… Spend your free time the way you like, not the way you think you’re supposed to.” American Writer, Susan Cain (CurlyTales, 2022).
